Our NAKSAN PRIDE K-Pop Festival 2025

We will celebrate Naksan Pride K-Pop Festival for the second time in June 2025.
Pride is alive in Second Life!

As a part of Second Pride in Second Life we want to support their this year's charity "It Gets Better".

It Gets Better is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.
In September 2010, in response to a rash of suicides that claimed the lives of several LGBTQ+ youth, the first It Gets Better video was released on YouTube urging young LGBTQ+ people to stay true to themselves despite bullying and other challenges of adolescence.

The message was simple – no matter how difficult things may be, it can get better. Those words, and the sentiment behind them, went viral, inspiring more than 70,000 people to share their personal stories of resilience and triumph, catalyzing the world’s largest storytelling effort to uplift and empower LGBTQ+ youth.

Fourteen years later, with an Emmy Award and a New York Times bestselling book in tow, It Gets Better affirms the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people every year. Through powerful storytelling and media campaigns, impactful educational programming, and global community-building initiatives, It Gets Better reaches and connects with LGBTQ+ youth before they are in crisis – helping them to navigate their sexual orientation and/or gender identity journey with life-affirming resources paving the way to a future with limitless possibilities.

June is the Pride month — a month to recognise and celebrate representatives of the LGBTQ+ community all over the globe.

Naksan Pride Festival will happen on the same weekend as it takes place in San Francisco in real life. 

San Francisco Pride is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world and is a world leader in the global Pride movement and a part of the fabric of Pride events around the globe.

Music is a great medium for self-expression and bold messages for LGBTQ+ community to share messages. Music helps to sensitize the society to the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community and to spread awareness.

Music is about storytelling, and one of the the best ways for people to understand Queerness, is by hearing their stories, and connecting to them through music.
Pride means inclusivity of all hues of the spectrum.
Being proudly and visibly out inspires other artists who have a similar gender identity to just be themselves.

That being said, just like love is love, music is music.
